Suite Airdef
Indra’s Air and Missile Defence Command, Control, Communications, Computing and Intelligence (C4i) systems have been developed over the past 30 years based on a collaborative approach between Indra and the Spanish Ministry of Defence, and are aligned with NATO doctrines.
C4i systems are the core solution of any air defence system, providing the Armed Forces with situational awareness of national airspace and the means to ensure sovereignty over it.
The C4i AirDef system suite
Indra has the most sophisticated, proven and integrated air defence command and control capabilities on the market, providing an effective response to new aerial threats through multi-layer and multi-domain system integration.
The AirDef system suite comprises operationally proven, configurable solutions with an intuitive interface, designed to meet both national and NATO Air C2 functionalities and their security accreditation requirements.
AirDef is structured in a modular way, offering a suite of solutions to address the different layers of Air Defence, from the SpaceDef module for Space Defence, through functionalities for Air Operations Planning, BMD, Air Surveillance and Control, which natively integrates multiple sensors, weapon systems and tactical data links, as well as support functionalities such as Testing and Training, Simulation, Auditing and Maintenance. It also includes the APP Approach Control module for Air Bases and the Anti-Drone subsystem.
Associated with the C2 system, Indra offers the GAREX300M military voice communications system, a next-generation Full VoIP solution that enables Red/Black separation architectures compliant with national and NATO security accreditations.
The suite also includes, in an integrated manner, the AirDef Drone subsystem for aerial surveillance, control and coordination in UAS LSS environments.
It incorporates C2 capability for defence against threats from small, slow, low-altitude unmanned aerial systems, connecting in real time the sensors that protect critical infrastructure and the service platforms managing operations of friendly LSS UAS (U-Space), to ensure effective defence against drone threats.
It operates with a high degree of automation and enables connectivity with hard-kill and soft-kill effectors via the SAPIENT standard.
Integrated into the AirDef C2 systems family, Indra also includes the AirDef COAAAS systems, designed for comprehensive air battle management, and AirDef GBAD, specifically for the control of anti-aircraft artillery systems.
AirDef COAAAS acts as a command and control centre for anti-aircraft artillery, with the capability to coordinate multi-domain and multi-layer defence within the IAMD (Integrated Air and Missile Defence) environment.
Its distributed and hierarchical architecture leverages artificial intelligence. One of its hallmarks is NATO interoperability, seamlessly integrating new sensors and effectors and enabling simultaneous hyperconnectivity between nodes.
In addition, it is designed to identify a full spectrum of threats, managing everything from asymmetric challenges such as drone swarms, loitering munitions and saturation attacks, to highly complex targets like cruise missiles. It incorporates simulation, planning, training and analysis functionalities.
AirDef GBAD enables the integration of V/SHORAD and SAM weapon systems, ensuring agnostic management of sensors and effectors within a modular architecture.
