Counter-battery radars

Indra’s technology for artillery fire protection is a digital AESA radar system with electronic beam steering.

The system provides counter-battery detection capabilities, friendly fire support, air and maritime defence and ground surveillance.

The flexibility of our 3D AESA radar system with C-RAM capabilities

The radar, which allows the detection and localisation of the origin of threats, features a high refresh rate and enables operation in fixed antenna mode and rotating antenna mode for sectorial or 360º coverage. It is a system which, by its nature, operates in track-while-scan.

It has a high degree of software configuration, which allows it to adapt to the needs of each mission. This likewise provides it with counter-battery detection capabilities, support for friendly fire, air defence, maritime defence, and ground surveillance, being able to operate on a truck with automatic deployment and retraction of the antenna for greater mobility and tactical deployment.

The system allows both weapon location and low-altitude surveillance for ground target detection, in addition to IFF interrogation capability in modes 1, 2, 3/A, C and 5.
