Fernando García García de las Hijas is a retired Lieutenant General who, until December 2024, served as Head of the Army Logistics Support Command (MALE). A driving force behind the modernisation of the Spanish Army’s logistics capabilities. He served in the Military Emergency Unit (UME) during its creation and consolidation, and later served as Chief of Staff of the UME. He also served as a Defence Policy and Planning Analyst at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters in Belgium.
